Lyerly called the police, and Mullis left the bar, walking to the corner of Lee and Innes Streets.  According to the report, Lyerly followed Mullis, the two got into another altercation that ended when Lyerly punched Mullis in the side of the head.

Police arrived to sort it all out and eventually charged Mullis with assault with a deadly weapon.  They also served two outstanding warrants on Mullis for making an obscene phone call and cyberstalking.  Mullis was treated for injuries to his ear and ended up with five stitches before being taken to jail where he was held under $15,500 bond.
